Changing Candidate Status

Changing Candidate Status---it would be great if we could change a candidate's status without having to go into the job opening they are associated with. If there is a way to do so, could you please tell me? I cold call for my candidates, thus there are frequently times where I log my activity and need to change their status to reflect the outcome of the call. Thanks !
