Closed vs Lost Jobs

We added two job statuses, "Closed" (e.g. client ended search), and "Lost" (e.g. competitor made placement), however, Zoho treats these statuses as if they were open.  Zoho support stated we MUST use  filled/cancelled/inactive/ declined in order to close a job.
This doesn't allow us to track closed jobs in a meaningful way.  I supposed we could use "cancelled" instead of our "Closed".  But what about Lost jobs?

Does anyone else have this problem or have you come up with a simple workaround?
