Create dependancy between fields from two diferent modules

Hi,

I am trying to make a dependency between the fields Candidate Status and Interview Type.
For example if I have Candidate for whom we created an interview with type "1 level" I want his status (field Candidate Status) to be changed automatically to "interview scheduled".

Do you have any ideas how this could be done?
