Credit Card Payment Options
Please correct me if I am wrong on this assessment of the current options available.
Our order workflow is to process the customer payment before pushing the order to our fulfillment center. In order to collect payment within Zoho, we have the options of Checkout and Subscriptions. Almost all of our customers frequently reorder and Checkout will not save credit card numbers to a customer for reuse so the only real option we have is Subscriptions.
Within Subscriptions there is no true data security like in CRM. Our in office Orders Team can use Subscriptions to add in new Credit Card numbers or update expiration dates. Our Sales Reps can technically use Subscriptions if we feel like exposing all of the data and allowing Sales Reps to poke into other Sales Reps accounts. This is clearly not a realistic option. Sales Reps are out in the field and need the ability to add in a new credit card and place an order on the fly. Hosted Payment Pages are not an option for the Sales Reps to use, because every time a payment is entered a new account is created. There is no way to merge the new account and the existing account in Subscriptions. Sales Reps cannot login to a Customer's Portal and update payment information there. We do not want to rely on the customer to login and update their payment information in a timely manner to get an order placed.
It's looking like we have no streamlined options for Sales Reps to take payments out in the field. We either need to open up all customer records to the Sales Reps, or we need to have them call the information into the office.
I'm really hoping that I've overlooked something here. Any help would be appreciated.
