We really enjoy the convenience of being able to pay off a customer's invoice using our Auth.Net integration with Zoho Books. Unfortunately, we can only take advantage of this feature with a small percentage of our customers as it leaves a gaping hole in our business process.

When we confirm a Sales Order for a customer that is on Credit Card terms, we then pre-authorize their credit card for the expected amount of the order plus any applicable shipping costs. After our warehouse has pulled the order, we then generate a final invoice based on what they actually shipped, and then we settle the authorization to the final amount. This is a function that is natively available in nearly every payment gateway, and it is quite frustrating that Zoho has yet to prioritize its implementation.
