Discontinuing Instagram Personal profile support [Updated, extended till 25th]

Discontinuing Instagram Personal profile support [Updated, extended till 25th]

Update: We are extending the Instagram personal account support until March 25th, 2020. If you're still using a personal account, please switch to a business account now, before it gets disconnected from Zoho Social.

Hey everyone!

On 31 March 2020, Instagram will deprecate its Legacy API Access for Personal Profiles from all third party applications.

This means that third party applications like Zoho Social will no longer be able to manage Instagram personal profiles through legacy API. Read more about this API deprecation.

After 25th March 2020, Zoho Social will restrict users with personal profiles from any of the following features we provide for Instagram:

1. Publishing and scheduling posts

2. Viewing Reports

3. Brand Health & Live Stream

But don't worry! We still support your Professional accounts (Business and Creator accounts). All you have to do is to switch to a Business Profile, and it'll be smooth sailing.

From 25 March 2020 onwards Zoho Social will manage only Professional Accounts (Business & Creator Accounts).  If you already have a Personal Profile connected, it will be disconnected and you will have to switch to Business, to reconnect Instagram on Zoho Social.

So, we recommend that all Brands switch to Business Profile to use Instagram.

You may refer to this guide to switch to Business Profile on the Instagram.
