Duplicate Leads Concerns with Round Robin and Lead Approval Process
It is great to have the Duplicate Lead Approval Process, there are a few issues with the process that I would greatly appreciate taken consideration in enhancing.
It appears that
- A Lead comes in
- Lead owner assigned by the Round Robin
- Check for Duplicate, If the lead is a Duplicate
- the Lead owner gets an email of a duplicate needs approval email
- assign to the approval process
This causes problems,
- The duplicate approval process is done by a different level person, they do not get the email notification
- The lead owner that receive the notification on a lead, can not approve the Lead
- The lead is a duplicate may not be valid and the users in the round robin has now lost there turn on a valid lead.
Consider adding this process:
- A Lead comes in
- Check for Duplicate, If the lead is a Duplicate
- assign lead owner to the person responsible for the approval process, send them the email notification
- assign to the approval process
- If Duplicate Lead is Approved
- update Lead owner assignment by the Round Robin
- Update Lead Owner and Approve Lead
Question:
If you have an email workflow set up and you get a duplicate Lead, will the lead receive the workflow email when it is created o r only when the Lead has been approved?
I hope you will consider changing this process, Our sale team is very upset that they are losing their turn on a duplicate lead and they are getting a email they can not do anything with it, but call our Admin. Does anybody else have the same problem?
