Duplicating a broken slide show

One of my slideshows is broken so I tried to replace it with a ppt from my desktop. I tried importing the new show from my computer but then couldn't change the simple URL to of the new show to match the broken show. I need the broken show's url to resolve to the new show. Alternatively I need replace the broken show.

I tried copying a slide from one show and pasting it into the broken show as a new slide, but that didn't work and now i can't seem to even create a new slide in the broken show.
