EAS Push stopped working

I'm using Nine mail on android and everything has been working fine until a few weeks ago.

After having mailed Nine they informed me that it's a server side problem, and indeed after looking through the logs I see that the zoho EAS server is returning code 8 for the pings which according to  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg663456(v=exchg.80).aspx means " Server misconfiguration, temporary system issue, or bad item. This is frequently a transient condition."

However it never succeeds so it's not very transient... Anyway this can be looked into?
