Orphan email alias blocking user creation – backend cleanup required

Hello Zoho Mail Support,

I´m unable to assign or create the address xx@iezzimatica.ar in my organization.

Current situation:

  • Alias cannot be assigned to any user (system says it is already in use)

  • New user with this address cannot be created

  • Address does not appear under Users, Groups, or Domains

  • SMTP returns: 550 5.1.1 User does not exist

This indicates an orphan alias object still reserved in the backend directory.

Please perform a backend cleanup and purge any references for:
xx@iezzimatica.ar

Likely locations:

  • Deleted users

  • Mail routing

  • Group alias

  • Directory mapping

I need the alias fully released so it can be assigned to the superadmin account.
