The issue below may be related to french language only ...

When creating the template with the variable field   #Deals.ContactName  inserted, save action is working fine as translated as "#Transactions.Nom de Contact" in french

But when reediting the template, the variable field is loaded as "#Affaires.Nom de Contact" which is another possible translation but in this case, the save action is not working and is returning an error message.

So, the variable field has to be manually updated from  "#Affaires.Nom de Contact" to "#Transactions.Nom de Contact" for saving the template.
