Events - no description in invitation, Yes No Maybe in browser

When an invitation for an event is sent, the description of the event does not appear in the email. The only place it shows is in the notes of the ICS file attached to the email. Also, when the invitee clicks on Yes - No - Maybe in the email, a browser page opens, and they can click on Yes, No or Maybe again but it doesn't respond. I've tried on Mac, iPhone and iPad and we've also tried Internet Explorer for another recipient with the same outcome. Lastly, can we print a list of attendees? This would be very useful.
