Please consider introducing field dependencies such as you are doing it on Zoho Desk. Yesterday I was customizing a Task layout for the first time where I did require to relate 2 fields and I did assume that Projects would already have this feature because it was already being presented in another Product from Zoho but to my surprise I've found out that there isn't a dependency feature in Projects. Below is the "Field Dependency" option menu from Zoho Desk. This feature is not a full fledged solution on Desk but at least it allows us to relate multi-select and picklist type of fields to picklist type of fields.
