File Upload Field in Zoho Forms Not Updating Existing File in Zoho CRM

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand the behavior of a file upload field mapped from Zoho Forms to Zoho CRM.

Scenario

There is a File Upload field in a Zoho CRM module.
A Zoho Form also has a File Upload field, which is mapped to that CRM field.
When the form is submitted for the first time, the uploaded file is successfully stored in the corresponding CRM record.

The Issue

When the form is submitted again for the same record with a new file, the file in Zoho CRM does not get updated or replaced.

This seems to happen because the File Upload field in the CRM record already contains a file, so the new file from Zoho Forms does not overwrite it.

Question

Is this the expected behavior when mapping file upload fields from Zoho Forms to Zoho CRM?

If so, what would be the recommended approach to allow:

Updating the file with a new upload, or
Replacing the existing file in the CRM record through Zoho Forms?

Any suggestions or best practices would be appreciated.
