Hello Zoho Mail Team,
How are you?
At present, the Zoho Mail Admin Console allows administrators to configure email forwarding for an entire mailbox, forwarding all incoming emails to another address. This is helpful for delegation or backup purposes, but it lacks flexibility.
Use Case:
In many real-world scenarios, organizations need more granular control over email forwarding at the admin level. For example:
Forwarding only emails from a specific sender (e.g., a VIP client).
Forwarding only emails sent to a particular alias address.
Forwarding only emails matching certain conditions (e.g., subject keywords, domains, or time-based rules).
Currently, such rules can only be configured by users themselves inside their mailbox settings. However, there are many cases where the admin must enforce or pre-configure these rules centrally for compliance, business continuity, or security reasons.
Feature Request:
Extend the Admin Console’s email forwarding options to include conditional forwarding based on:
Sender address/domain.
Recipient address (including aliases).
Subject or keywords.
Allow admins to manage these rules without needing user-side configuration.
Provide an overview/report of forwarding rules configured by admins for transparency and auditing.
This enhancement would give administrators much finer control, reduce dependency on user actions, and improve both flexibility and compliance.
Please also add this in to zoho one user management - as for now we can set the email forwarding for an entire mailbox also from there.
Thank you for considering this request.
Best regards,
Ram
