Handing duplicate applications
I have just been testing out Zoho recruit to see how it handles duplicate entries. It seems very odd and I would be grateful if you could clarify this.
In most recruitment systems I have worked with they use email address as the unique identifier and this appears to be how Zoho Recruit functions as it does not let you create a candidate record in the system if a candidate aleady exists with that email address.
I am particularly concerned with this process as it causes a big problem if recruitment agencies are submitting applications via your website. Here is an example scenario:
Agency A speaks to our candidate (let's call him John Smith) and then decide to submit him for ABC Company's Sales Manager role. A new record is created in Zoho and a record of the application is logged.
If John Smith then goes to the website and also submits the CV himself (using the same email address) then the new record is created and the first record showing the agency submission is removed.
Is this how you understand the system to work. I have tested this and the original record seems to dissapear, it is very odd and potentially a big problem.
