Is there a way to send an email by clicking Contact -> Send Mail but having it hide the zoho.com email address?

I've set up my Zoho Mail to show my sending address as somename@gmail.com.  This works when I compose an email in Zoho Mail but not when I click on the contact record, then Send Mail.

I have also noticed that only mail sent by clicking contact > sent mail is recorded on the contact record.  

Is there a way to record email activity that is sent from Zoho Mail or gmail? As opposed to clicking contact -> send mail.

Note: I have allowed account with complete sharing
