Hi Team!
I have been trying to figure this out but I keep hitting one roadblock after the other one.
So, in our business, we help students to enrol in courses and then we send the education providers an invoice for a commission of the tuition instalments that the students paid afterwards throughout their studies. This means that even if it's the same course and the same student, the amount might change from one instalment to the other one.
As you can imagine, this is not the usual business in which there is a specific item or product being sold. So far, in Zoho Books, we have been creating unique items for each invoice, by combining the name of the student, the course enrolled and the instalment being claimed.
Now, I am trying to automate the invoice generation process with Zoho CRM workflows and Zoho Flow, which is sending data from different modules (Contacts (students), Courses (custom), Deals, Accounts (institutions)) into the flow, where we calculate with a custom function the amount as per the commission for each course, student and account and then the idea is to send all this to Zoho Books with the action to create an invoice.
So, the roadblock that I hit now, is that the App is asking me for a Item ID, and we always create a new one as all have different rates.
Is there any solution or workaround that comes to mind? Something we can do to go around it?
I think that creating a unique product and then changing its price all the time might make more problems that what we are trying to solve. But cant move forward without a more in depth understanding..
I hope you can help us out!
Thanks in advance!
have a great day,
Juan
