How do i EDIT file? Why there are so MANY view/edit modes for files without any clarifications?
Dear Zoho Docs Team,
I'm frustrated. I've just got another problem/misunderstanding Zoho Docs.
Some points:
1. If i create a file (spreadsheet) in Zoho Docs, i can edit it in the "full"-edit mode, so i'm able to import data, export and do other useful things. I just click on the filename in the documents list and immediately open it in edit mode.
2. If i upload an ODS/XLS-file and then click on the filename, i'll get into the RESTRICTED edit mode. I can't do many things, but still able to edit it. If i want to switch to the "full"-mode, i have to click "Import to Sheet" on the file (i didn't know that and you pointed me to this in some of my requests), it will be imported and, as i thought before, i will get a "full"-edit mode.
3. BUT! It's not true! If i click on the uploaded and then imported ODS-file, i go to the SEMI-full edit mode. It's opened with URLs like https://sheet.zoho.com/docview.do?displayall=true&docid=XXXXX
In this mode i'm able to do more things then in the first mode. But i can't import data, can't edit share details and so on.
4. If i change manually (in the location bar) URL to https://sheet.zoho.com/open.do?displayall=true&docid=XXXXX then i get a full-edit mode. So i just change docview.do to open.do
What is that all for? Why there are so many modes? Who needs them?
How can i just click and edit document in the most featured version of the editor?
I can't see any "Edit" button NOWHERE nowadays. Just "Open". And this Open means completely different things under each circumstance.
It is NOT possible to edit imported files until you change the URL of the document by hands.
Thank you.
