I cannot export invoices to PDF

I have only been using this for about a month and when I first started, the export to PDF worked fine. Now I get an error message that it cannot be opened - it says : could not open "<filename>" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.

I tried sending it as an email, and it won't work that way either.
