Including Contact and Account Information in Zoho Projects.
In Zoho Projects I have created a custom layout which already includes a 'Client Information' section. The 'Client Information' section already includes integrated fields (integrated with CRM) for various account and contact details.
Here's what I want to display:
- Customer Name
- Address
- State
- Zip Code
- Phone
... and others.
However, when I use that Layout, those customer contact fields are not populated with the customer details.
Here's the workflow that I (am trying to) use:
- Go to Accounts in CRM, select account, scroll down to Projects, create a new Project ...
- As noted above - the client fields are not populated.
Here's the kicker, it doesn't have to display in the Layout, ideally it would be a widget and displayed on the dashboard, but I don't want to get too deep into that just yet as I would probably have to host the linked 'resources'?
My next experiment might involve setting up a web tab.
The purpose for adding these details is that the selected project data will get exported to be used in a manufacturing software to automate several processes in that workflow.
Any suggestions on how I can move forward?
Should I try the web tab option? Will the Web tab be able to pull data from the Accounts and Contact fields?
