Inline editing for tasks

In the new 4.0 version of projects it doesn't seem that you can schedule "in-line" when you are in the tasks view. You have to open the properties window for each and every task/sub-task to add a date. The older version allowed for editing dates, assignments, etc. in both views. This change is cumbersome and increases the time that it takes to create a schedule. Can this feature be added to the new 4.0 version as well?
