Internal Fillable Contract with Zoho Writer (Before Sending to Client)

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to automate the following process in Zoho CRM and would appreciate some guidance.
Process:
  1. When a Deal moves to a specific stage, CRM triggers an automation.
  2. CRM sends a contract template to an internal team member so they can complete the contract details.
  3. The contract should already have some fields pre-populated from CRM (Deal, Account, Contact, etc.).
  4. The team member fills the remaining fields.
  5. The document is then returned for internal approval before sending the final version to the client.

My questions:
• Can a Zoho Writer fillable template be sent to a team member with fields already pre-populated from CRM data? Have both crm and fillable fields?
• What would be the best way for the team member to return the completed document so it can either:
  • be attached back to the Deal record, or
  • go through an internal approval step before sending it to the client?
• Is this typically done using Writer fillable fields, Zoho Sign, or another recommended approach?

If anyone has implemented a similar internal contract preparation workflow, I’d really appreciate your insights.
