iOS app notifications

how do we configure what emails we get through iOS and what we get through email?
i'd like to get no email notifications, and all iOS notifications.

It seems like we only get a handful of notifications on iOS.
for instance, i dont get notifications for comments, only through email notifications.
I dont get notifications when someone completes a task i assign them, again i only get it through email.

this is very frustrating. Is there a place that documents what we should and shouldnt be getting?
