Limitations in Zoho Docs?
Hello,
I've been reading these forums for the past severals day to solve one issue. In my research, I find there are other other issues and limitations to Zoho docs as discussed by others.
Limitations I've experiences and read about thus far are as follows:
1. You can not upload a folder to to Zoho Docs, let alone multiple folders.
2. Even if I've created folders and subfolders within a Workspace, I can not move folders around (like in a traditional Windows Explorer environment).
3. Zipping files and unzipping them in Zoho Docs and then organizing them seems to require (a) way too much work considering we have several GBs of data, and (b) this would require super careful planning, which I can do technically but just don't have the time to do so with several hundred client folders.
4. Dragging and dropping files (folders don't seem to work at all) from my hard drive into a Workspace is strange. Files to not end up in the Workspace, but rather in My Folders.
5. You can only have at maximum 100 folders in a Workspace.
6. I'd like to attach a Zoho doc to an email, but the pop up that comes with adding an attachment does not display my Workspace filing tree and associated folders/documents.
7. Lastly, I would like to Label/Tab my folders for easy searching, but was told that I can't. My workaround was to carefully name all folders with my Label/Tag info and then just do a search to find them. But searches do not seem to return folders in the results, just documents. I'd rather not take the time or pay someone for their time to enter tags for each individual document (which I think I can do).
Our current workflow includes a local file server with several hundred client folders. Each client folder has five subfolders, and each of these subfolders has about 5 sub-subfolders. In each of these sub-subfolders are 5 files. Each user (3 of us total) has administrative access to our file server. I would like to replicate this (in terms of structure and user permissions) within Zoho Docs and work exclusively with my small team in the cloud.
Please clarify or confirm my misunderstandings/understandings of the above mentioned limitations. I'm happy to hear form the community as well as the helpful Zoho staff.
