Make a Spreadsheet READ ONLY ?

Make a Spreadsheet READ ONLY ?

I'm working off a master spreadsheet and mostly copying and pasting into new documents. I would like to have the ability to make a document read-only to prevent destroying the original data. If this function already exists, sorry, but somebody please enlighten me.

by the way, this tool seems better than google spreadhsheets so far!
