New in WorkDrive: Introducing TrueSync for Windows

With WorkDrive's TrueSync, you no longer have to worry about your hard drive storage limit. You can access all your team files without downloading them onto your desktop. 

Let's say you have 250GB of hard disk space and about 2TB of files stored on WorkDrive. With the TrueSync app, you can view all your WorkDrive files on your desktop without occupying your hard disk space. 

TrueSync lets you manage team files either in   online-only mode or the  offline mode. 



When files and folders are in the online-only mode, they do not occupy any storage space on your desktop. You can view and edit them, while you are still connected to the internet. However, these files will not be accessible when you have no internet connection.  
 
Once you make a file or a folder available offline, they will occupy storage on your hard disk. In this mode, you can work on these files and all the changes made to files will automatically be synced to the cloud.

When you install the app, all your WorkDrive files will by default be available to you in the online-only mode. 
 
To make your file or folder available offline:

1. Go to File Explorer and select Zoho WorkDrive (Z:) in the left pane. The WorkDrive TrueSync virtual drive will open on your computer.
2. Right-click a file or folder and select WorkDrive TrueSync.
3. Select Available offline.

To make your file or folder available online-only:

1. Go to File Explorer and select Zoho WorkDrive (Z:) in the left pane. The WorkDrive TrueSync virtual drive will open on your computer.
2. Right-click a file or folder and select WorkDrive TrueSync.
3. Select Online only.

 

Once you are done working on files, you can change them back to online-only mode to free up your desktop space.
