new user sent to invite list

When creating new users all worked out fine except for one account which is added to the invite list instead of the account being added. I deleted the invite and attempted to re-create the user multiple times to no avail, finally I decided since I still havent migrated the emails or change the mx records I would just have the user accept the invitation and join that way but that doesnt work either since the user is asked to enter the current password and when he does a warning pops up of an invalid password.

Any help with this matter would be appreciated, I already emailed support yesterday and have received to response.
