online application form date field

Dear ZohoRecruit Team,

I was wondering why it is not possible to enter a date manually in the date field of an application form. When candidates are asked to enter their birthdate via an online form date field they have to scroll down to the respective year of birth instead of just typing it in - that demands some patience. Especially "older" people (40+) will either not get what they are supposed to do to select their year of birth or could just abort the application at that point since the scrolling takes a while and is not user friendly.

Pls advise.
