Placing Project on Hold and Extending Due Date
Please let me know if there is a way to have projects due date extend automatically if it is placed on hold. We would need due date extend by the same amount of days as the item is on hold.
Summary Project allowance 14 days, hold 10 days, due date automatically extended by 10 days (due to the hold).
Example:
The technician starts an equipment repair (project) and has two weeks allocated to complete it. Now if within these two weeks he has to order repair parts, the project is placed on hold and until parts arrive that time is not counted as part of the two weeks period that he is allocated to complete the repair (project). Is there a way to have due date extended by amount of days that project was on hold. So for example Project started on January 1st (day1) with a due date of January 14th (day14) on day January 10th (day 10) required parts are ordered and project status changed to hold. Now these parts arrive on January 20th (day 20), the projects due date should be extended by 10 days (hold period), the new due date will be January 24th instead of January 14 (original due date).
