Protect your customers from WannaCry attacks!

The on-going, largest ever ransomware attack doesn't requires an introduction. The huge count of affected computers is on the rise and you must be looking for ways to protect yours as well as your remote customers' computers.

Microsoft has come up with emergency patches even for older Windows versions that it has stopped supporting. These patches might be useful if any of your customers are using Windows XP or Vista.

Some more protective measures are:

1. Apply the security patches.
2. Block access to SMB ports namely TCP 137, 139, 445, and UDP 137 and 138 in the firewall configuration.
3. Disable SMB as explained here.
