Setting Mandatory Fields using Workflow or Layout Rules

HI I want to set some fields as mandatory requirements under Candidates section once a particular status/stage is reached. This is easily achievable in Zoho CRM using Layout Rules but it is not possible in Z Recruits. There is no Layout rules options in Recruit nor is there a Work Flow Rules option to set mandatory fields. This can really solve a lot of issues. I'm sure others will agree. Please advise if possible to add this? Thank you.
