sharing documents with Google docs people and other email addresses

I have been trying to share a document with other email addresses And the emails say they were sent. I have noticed that the emails of the invited people aren't actually getting to the document that and I've also tested sending a shared document to my other email addresses so i know its not the email sever was shared so could there be away that the link to the document could be made only so the person is only allowed to open the other persons document like a demo but any other links they try to click on will give the a message like you need to create an account to see these applications
