Should I use the Zoho Inventory API or Zoho Books API for Sales Orders

I need to import Sales Orders from my X-Cart ECommerce software into Zoho.  Currently I import them into Zoho CRM because the items database allows for more custom fields.  Unfortunately CRM cannot pass Sales Orders to Books/Inventory.

I am thinking of pushing the Sales Orders to Books or Inventory directly as well.  Which API would be best?  My Sales Orders can be in multiple currencies.
