I just received a reply to my second ticket at the web host questioning the validity of the first reply.
The problem is that the domain in question uses shared hosting. I should have thought of this, of course. Email routing with a shared hosting account is just not possible or a lot of trouble if you want to get it to work. Problematic to say the least.
Would be a good idea if Zoho could include this caveat in their Help documentation. But then, there are so many things that Zoho could do and never do...
Such as answering two support tickets within less than two hours. Consistently. And nine out of 10 replies don't require you to ask for clarification or, worse, tell them that they are not answerting your question at all...
Anyway, problem solved.

I need help with setting up split mail delivery. Has anyone ever successfully managed to set it up and - more importantly - it does work?
I read eveything in the Help section about email routing but I am lost. I have no idea what exactly to fill in.
A ticket to our web host resulted in them telling me:
This will never work. This is not the way email works.
Can anyone please enlighten me?
Any help is highly appreciated.
