Start - Due date vs alloted time slot to complete work to organise jobs better

I have a question as I'm not sure how to best handle this. Imagine 5 tasks have been issued to someone. The start date is the day they were issued and the due date is a week later. Looking at a calendar or Gantt view now will show all 5 tasks as 7 days long. Imagine also that each task will take 1 day to complete. As the manager of the recipient of those tasks, I would expect to be able to organise those tasks, in order of priority so that each task displays on a different day on the calendar - essentially making each task only one day long and providing the recipient of the task with a simple, chronological work list. This will allow for effective resource and traffic management. The problem is, in doing this, it obviously removes the original issued date and the due date of the task.

What I almost need is an issued date, due date, planned work start date, planned work end date. Is this possible and I'm just missing something?
