Syncing Issues

I have my zoho account set up through Apple Mail on my Macbook. When I had an iphone, syncing worked fine, if I ever deleted a message from my computer, my phone would stay in sync with deleted messages and vice versa. Now I have an android phone (Galaxy Note 4) and when I delete a message from my zoho account on my computer, the message STAYS on my phone. However, when I log into Zoho through Firefox and delete a message it stays synced with my phone. So it seems that my phone and zoho account lose sync when I access email through the Apple Mail application on my computer.

Can someone please help with this?

P.S. It is only my Zoho account that loses sync. I have another gmail account that stays in sync between my phone and computer.
