TEAMWORK

Why can't multiple project members be assigned to a task? Does everything have to be done in isolation? I ran into this problem when I tried to record time for a task, but realized that only the person it is assigned to can get the credit, which doesn't lend itself to very much collaboration. I can understand having one person in charge of a task, but please allow multiple people to record work done on it. I figured that selecting "any user" for the Task Owner would have solved my problem, but with that option, no one can record time on the task.
