Website Registration and mailing list

I would like website visitors to be able to "register" from a link in my website. This would lead to proactive job announcements and newsletters being sent from the accumulated list.

Presumably I would setup up a registration "button", which, when clicked would lead to a registration form.

Question: How do I set this up, and then collect the information?
