Weird "none" state in blueprint?

Weird "none" state in blueprint?

I'm struggling with this weird "None" state that is showing up in my blueprint. Contacts are being created via API in the 'Not contacted' state and if I turn off the blueprint I can confirm that they are being created in the said state. However, as soon as I enable the blueprint, the initial state is being ignored and the Contact state becomes blank/none.

How do I get the blueprint to start from the 'Not contacted' state?
