Hey everyone!
We’ve been busy rolling out a host of upgrades for Zoho Backstage. While some major features are still going through final rounds of testing to make your event experience smooth as butter, here’s what was new and improved in October 2025.
Session check-in and check-out logs
Gain complete visibility into session attendance with the new session check-in and check-out logs. When multiple check-ins or check-outs are recorded for the same attendee within a session, all entries will now appear in the UI, similar to the event check-in attendee logs. This update helps organizers accurately track re-entries, monitor engagement patterns, and ensure every session record reflects real-time attendee activity.
To access the activity of an attendee in a session:
- Navigate to Event Day > Check-In from the Dock.
- Click Session Check-In.
- Click Manage Check-In for the session you want to view.
- Open the dropdown next to the attendee's name.
- Click View Profile.
- Go to the Check-In Details tab.

Portal-level and Space-level networking privacy consent
We’ve enhanced networking privacy controls to give organizers full flexibility in managing how participant consent is collected and displayed across their portal, spaces, and events.
Portal Settings:
Space Settings:
Organizers can now:
- Configure privacy consent settings independently at the portal, space, or event level.
- Easily choose exactly where consent is collected — in Profile Settings, the User Onboarding page, or the Registration Form.
- Enable or disable Consent Collection entirely when not required.
The section layout and behavior remain consistent across all levels, with the new checkbox options clearly indicating the selected consent collection methods. Participants can view or update their consent preferences directly from the selected locations.

Quick actions and navigation enhancements in attendee management
The attendee management experience has been improved with new quick actions, contextual shortcuts, and better navigation between order and attendee records. These updates make it easier for organizers to manage tickets, attendee details, and related sessions directly from the event console.
The More Actions menu has been standardized across both the Orders and Attendees tabs. Organizers can perform the following actions with a single click:
- View Ticket: Opens a preview of the attendee’s ticket.
- Download Tickets: Downloads the ticket file for offline access or distribution.
- Print Ticket: Opens the print dialog to produce a physical copy of the ticket.
- Resend Attendee Ticket: Sends the attendee’s ticket again via email.
These options reduce navigation time and allow quick handling of individual attendee requests directly from the list view.
Improved navigation from the Order Details page
In the Order Details page, linked fields have been added to improve navigation between related tabs. These links help organizers move between records without manually searching or reopening the tabs.
- Ticket Count: Opens the Attendees tab in the Order Details side pane, displaying all attendees under that order.
- Session Count: Opens the Sessions tab, showing all sessions associated with the order.
Edit shortcuts in the View Details panel
To simplify record updates, new Edit Details shortcuts have been added to both order and attendee view panes:
- In the Order view, the Edit Details option appears next to the Purchaser Information section.
- In the Attendee view, the Edit Details option appears next to the Attendee Information section.
These shortcuts allow direct editing without leaving the current view, ensuring smoother updates during event operations.

Booth Member reassignment and Contact Details update
Event organizers can now manage booth teams with more flexibility. You can switch roles between Booth Admin and Booth Staff, reassign booth ownership, and choose whether to retain the previous owner.
Organizers can now update exhibitor contact information whenever there’s a change in the primary point of contact or other details—without needing to recreate the exhibitor profile.

These updates mark another step forward in making Zoho Backstage more powerful and intuitive. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing more improvements in the coming months.
