Why does "Forwarding a CV to a Hiring Manager" not create a new status automatically

Why does "Forwarding a CV to a Hiring Manager" not create a new status automatically

When you forward several CVs to a hiring manager (or a client if you are using the recruitment agency version of Zoho Recruit) why does it not change the candidate's status to something like "CV forwarded to Hiring Manager" ?

This already happens when you schedule an interview it would seem logical that this represents a step in the recruitment workflow so why is this not logged with a status change.
