Workflows not working

I'm trying to test several Workflows and they don't seem to be working. All i'm attempting to do is assign a task when an interview is of a certain type and the interview status is selected (Workflow: Client Submission 5sky Phone) and assign a task and send an email when candidate status is submitted-to-client (Workflow: Hiring Manager Submission) Is there any way to see why the tasks and emails aren't being executed? Thanks
