Will zoho be the only source of apps for the new email fetching protocol?  Or will projects such as Thunderbird or K-9 be able to support them without incurring a licensing fee?

By Zmail I refer to whatever protocol ZohoMail app employs to fetch and send email on zoho accounts without IMAP or SMTP.
