Zoho Books blocks invoicing without VeriFactu even though it is not mandatory until 2027

Zoho Books blocks invoicing without VeriFactu even though it is not mandatory until 2027

I would like to highlight a very serious issue in Zoho Books for Spain.

1. The Spanish government has postponed the mandatory start of VeriFactu to January 1st, 2027.
This means that during all of 2026 businesses are NOT required to transmit invoices to the AEAT.

2. However, Zoho Books currently blocks invoice creation unless VeriFactu is fully configured with B2Brouter.

3. And even worse:
If you activate VeriFactu for testing or setup, Zoho does not allow you to disable it again, even if you have not sent a single invoice and even though the law does NOT require transmission yet.
Also, VeriFactu transmission through B2Brouter has an economic cost that users should not be forced to assume in 2026.

This creates a vicious circle:

- If you do NOT enable VeriFactu → Zoho prevents you from creating invoices.
- If you DO enable it → Zoho forces you to remain in VeriFactu mode and assume transmission and costs that are not legally required.

This makes it impossible to migrate to Zoho Books in 2025–2026 without the risk of unwanted transmission or unnecessary costs.

We request that Zoho:

- Allow invoicing without VeriFactu while it is not mandatory by law.
- Allow VeriFactu to be disabled when no invoices have been transmitted.

Otherwise, many users in Spain will be blocked and unable to operate normally with Zoho Books.
