Zoho CRM mobile: support for record images, predefined WhatsApp messages, and multi-select lookup field

Zoho CRM mobile: support for record images, predefined WhatsApp messages, and multi-select lookup field

Hello everyone

We've made a few enhancements to the Zoho CRM mobile app to improve your experience. Here’s what’s new:
  • Extended record image support for modules (Android)
  • Predefined text support for WhatsApp messages (Android)
  • Multi-select lookup field (iOS)

1.  Extended record image support for modules (Android)

Previously, record images were supported only in the Leads and Contacts modules. Now, this support has been extended to the following modules:
  • Accounts
  • Deals
  • Cases
  • Solutions
  • Products
  • Vendors
  • Custom modules

To use this feature, ensure that record images are enabled in the module layout in Zoho CRM's web version.

Currently, the Price BooksActivities, and Inventory modules do not support record images.

Notes
Note: The maximum upload size for record images is 10 MB.

 2. Predefined text support for WhatsApp messages (Android)

You can now use predefined texts while messaging customers, saving time and ensuring consistency. These ready-made templates help businesses send structured messages quickly for common questions or standard responses.
Notes
Note: Predefined messages must be created in Zoho CRM's web version to be used in the mobile app.

To send predefined messages

  1. Open the Zoho CRM Mobile app.
  2. Tap the More icon ( ).
  3. Select the Messages module.
  4. Open the desired chat.
  5. Tap the icon next to the text bar.
  6. Choose a predefined message.
  7. Tap the  button to send.

3. Multi-select lookup fields  (iOS)

Multi-select lookup fields let you link multiple records from one module to a single record in another.
Let’s say you’re managing student enrollments. With a multi-select lookup field, you can link a student to multiple courses. Each course can also have multiple students enrolled, making it easier to track course participation.

Here are some actions you can perform with multi-select lookup fields in the mobile app:
  • Assign existing records
  • Create and assign new records
  • Unassign records

A travel agency scenario

Imagine you're a travel agent responsible for client bookings. Amelia Burrows is a client who's shown interest in three of your tour packages:
  • Beach vacation to the Maldives
  • City tour in Italy
  • Adventure trip in New Zealand (New package)

Using the multi-select lookup field, you can easily associate the packages with Amelia's contact.

While assigning, you notice that the Adventure Trip isn't yet added to your tour packages module. You quickly create a record for it and assign it to Amelia.

Later, due to time constraints, Amelia decides to cover only two destinations. She asks you to remove the Adventure Trip to New Zealand from her itinerary. You can quickly go to the unassign page and remove it from her contact.
All these actions are manageable from your mobile device, making it simple to handle Amelia’s travel plans efficiently.

Notes
Note: Multi-select lookup fields must be created in Zoho CRM's web version to be used in the mobile app.

Linking modules

A linking module helps manage relationships between two modules connected through a multi-select lookup field. Each record in the linking module has a unique number that enables you to track associations between primary modules (in this case, Contacts and Tour Packages).
