Zoho CRM now provides built-in support for Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling AI tools to connect and perform CRM actions using natural language.
Zoho CRM MCP servers act as a bridge between AI agents and Zoho CRM, exposing CRM capabilities as callable tools. With this, AI agents can interpret user prompts, map them to the right CRM actions, and execute them within the context of your CRM account. This allows you to manage your CRM setup and data using simple prompts, without navigating the interface or relying on API terminology.
Pre-built MCP Servers
Zoho CRM MCP servers are available as pre-built servers, designed to cover key CRM capabilities out of the box.
Currently, five servers are available, each focused on a specific area of CRM functionality.
- Data Insights: Query and analyze CRM data with read-only access. Search records, monitor pipelines, and identify trends.
- Data Operations: Create, update, and manage records. Supports bulk operations, lead conversion, and duplicate detection.
- Module Customization: Configure your data model. Create custom modules, fields, layouts, and manage global picklists.
- Workflow & Process Automation: Set up and manage automation. Configure workflow triggers, field updates, email alerts, and webhooks.
You can install one or more servers based on your requirements. They work with any AI tool that supports MCP, including Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code, and Windsurf.
MCP-Powered CRM Capabilities
- Simplified implementation: Enable AI-assisted CRM workflows with minimal setup.
- Faster configuration and operations: Perform data updates, customization, and automation setup through conversational prompts.
- Reduced learning curve: Minimize dependency on UI navigation and platform familiarity.
- No API handling required: MCP servers translate prompts into CRM operations.
- Permission-aware execution: All actions are bound by the authenticated user's CRM roles and permissions.
- Secure authentication: OAuth-based login ensures secure access and session management.
We are rolling out this feature in phases and will soon be available in all the data centers. We will also introduce more tools and servers in upcoming updates.
