Zoho Mail: IMAP not syncing correctly unread mesasges

For a time, no longer than two weeks, our Zoho Mail main account does not sync correctly read/unread messages across clients. Even when configuring our mail clients (Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird) to sync every minute, every user has a different number of unread mails, generating confusion and duplicate answers.
