I am trying to do something that seems very simple.  I want to have an email notification sent out when a new project is created.  I have setup a workflow rule that basically states that Project Status = New then to send an email based on a template i created.  This does not work,  Anything i use on the project level will not work. another example is I Project Status = New then set the Project Owner to someone this does not work either.  

Any help would be appreciated.
