Zoho Books restrictions
Hi, I would like staff members be able to enter in quotes into Zoho Books but restrict them from seeing any of the financials of the company.
Page scrolls upwards after every click
Can it be fixed somehow? It's really frustrating when your page scrolls up automatically every time you do a minor action. I'm expecting my mouse cursor to retain position but instead I miss the links I'm going to click on just because the page unexpectedly shifts upwards at the very moment I want to click on the link. I'm using Google Chrome.

Error/bug in Zoho Books on Tax date for CASH business
I've submitted this twice to support already but not received an answer. I think I've found a bug/error in Zoho Books. I am evaluating Zoho books and a little concerned over the apparent inability to call support or get a response to emailed questions. So here it goes on the public forum. Hopefully some kind reader may be able to help. I have a CASH based business in USA. This means the TAX point is the date of PAYMENT. Zoho Invoice to Zoho Books migration failed
Hi there, I follwoed the steps to migrate to Zoho Books and waited for the email. The email arrived with the following message. Dear Customer Your scheduled migration of data from Zoho Invoice to Zoho Books was unsuccessful. Please contact support@zohobooks.com for further assistance. Regards Zoho Books Team I have sent 2 emails to support@zohobooks.com 2 days ago with no response. I need to be able to do some work on Zoho Books so I need this sorted. Any advice would be welcome. Intergration with Bank Account
Hello, I am using Xero it is a great SaaS from New Zealand, one main feature is that my Bank sends all the transaction information to Xero and all I need to do is allocate accounts against the transaction. This can be done manually in other Accounting Programs by importing a QIFF file (i think that is what its called in Quick-books) Can anyone tell me if this is planned or already in Zoho Books. More control over printable Statements
I'd like to be able to create a custom printable Statement that's easy to use with windowed envelopes. As of now the only way that I can see sending Statements is by email. Not everyone wants to communicate by email.
Time Range for Income versus Expense Graph
I would like to be able to change the time range for the graph on dashboard (or in another place) to see it reflecting other periods of time, not just current year. Is it possible?
Dashboard date range
My financial year starts in March. I login today (March 1st 2013) and the previous years income and expense has vanished from the home page dashboard and I see no way to get it back. How can I move back and forth between financial years? I love Zoho books but things like this without a quick answer to find *really* hack me off. There may be a simple solution but its completely beyond me to find. Thanks for your guidance.
Zoho books export as pdf
when we export invoices as pdf in zoho books we are not able to open these files. The message from the reader is format error Not a pdf or corrupted. We use Greek characters in the invoices but it was working ok for years until a few hours ago.

Is there a way to assign a cost after an invoice is made? For example, we made invoice and after the fact want to assign a cost to it.
Bank was there - now it is gone!
I added my Bank account successfully to zoho - Affinity Federal Credit Union and the automatic feed is working. I have since opened an additional account at the bank. When I go to add the new account the option for my bank is no longer in the list. Is this because I already have a bank account in zoho from this bank? Or has the list of banks been updated and my bank removed? Thanks.
Document Approval and Estimate Approval Would Be A Great Addition to Books.

Invoice problems
I'm having trouble with the invoices: I created two templates -- one for when I'm billing hourly and one for projects that have a fixed fee. There is a pull-down menu that should allow me to switch between templates at will, but nothing happens when I select it. See photo. On the interface seen in the above photo, there is no way to edit either the client contact information nor the Project Name. Yet, when the invoice gets created these two items are blank. See below. Finally, we have a problem
How do you handle Bank charges
Say i bill a client $500. He pays the bill via paypal who charge say $50 and I get a net $450. I transfer that from Paypal to my business account. The bank feed comes in as 450 and the invoice is for 500. When I try to close the invoice by recording payment it has a place for bank charges but when I enter a no in that and try saving it I keep on getting a message 'Select account to deposit Bank charges".. Not sure what the answer is for that. would appreciate your help. thanks in advance..
Loan - Long term liability and cheque payment
Hi, I have couple of questions: 1) Loan a/c - posted a loan amount received from one of the director and now need to repay this loan back to him. I have selected "Money Out / Expense" but when I try to select the Loan Account from the pull down menu, I am not able find the Loan a/c. 2) Payment towards vendor with multiple invoices - it seems there isn't a feature in Zoho that enable us to process payment to one vendor with few invoices or am I missing some steps here?? Calculating tax after sale
I have to sell with adding the tax to the invoice. I have to calculate my sales tax out of the sale price. I have to do this with almost all my transactions. How do I set this up ? Should I set my sales tax to a negative rate ?
Quickbooks Data Migration to Zoho Books
We have been using Zoho CRM since my company's inception to track customers from leads to a sale. Once a sale is completed I manually load the data in Quickbooks 2008 then process the payment and reconcile the books. What would be the simplest way to convert all data from QB to Zoho Books? -Tom
How to Add Employees or Subcontractors
I see I can add a "Contact" but it only shows certain billing terms like net 15, 30, etc. I want to add subcontractors that I am paying weekly. Would these people go in Contacts or somewhere else? Also, I would like to be able to run "Subcontractor Pay" reports too so I would need a way to distinguish them from other contacts. Thank you

As it is, click click click. Can't even get a decent spreadsheet for that ONE client with invoice numbers, amounts, dates etc. The export tool just dumps all invoices and then the user (me) has to dig through it for the information I need. Come on... dunning reports and reminders are an INTEGRAL part of accounting. Zoho Books cannot call itself the BEST software with lack of basic dunning tools. Again, we need, with one click, to send all open and overdue invoices at once via email to multiple email

is it possible to ad Strip.com online payment system as a payment gateway, or is there a way we can add custom payment gateways. As a quick example on my old invoicing program, when a client paid online it took them to my site to pay that way it didnt have to go through paypal or google checkout.

Account Receivable list 12/31/2012
Hi, Today I need to print out a list with all my invoices pending at 12/31/2012. I couldn't do it. I can't age the A/R (kind of historical aging to 12/31/12). If I go to Report- Invoice detail, from 2012 period, it gives me a list of customers with balances but the total doesn't match with the Balance sheet 12/31/12. Am i doing something wrong? Please, help. thanks
Invoices created in ZOHOcrm are not showing in my ZOHObooks account.
When I create an invoice in ZOHOcrm it does not convert into an invoice in my ZOHObooks. Is there something that I need to do? Or am I doing something wrong?
Currency Bugs
When are Zoho going to fix all the currency bugs in the Zoho Books? I have raised a bunch of issues over the last year and hardly any of them have been fixed. The product is pretty much unusable for a company that does business in multiple currencies. There must be lots of other users suffering these issues as well?
record unreconciled items on opeing bank balance
Hi Lets say I import my opeing trial. The bank balance on the tb is $100 debit. At the same date the bank balance on the statement is $110 because a cheque for $10 has not cleared the bank statement yet. How do I show this unreconciled item. Thanks

What I mean by prices/numbers to text is something like this : 1902 $ ----> One thousand nine hundred two dollars Not only that, but we need this in French. Is it possible? 1) If it is, great. How? 2) If not : Suppose we hire a programmer to make a script (php, javascript, whatever is most convenient) how can we integrate the result of that script in our invoices and estimates? Zoho Books Staff
Under the TimeSheet for Time Tracking, when I go to Log Time, I have no options of Staff from the pull-down menu. I cannot seem to find anywhere in Zoho Books where I can input my staff's name.

How can I undo the payment transaction, leaving the records in the bank account? Invoice was paid, 2 days later I see the charge in the bank statement, the check wasn't paid. How the system can show the invoice pending again without deleting the entry of the payment?

Top up Petty Cash - How do I record this in Books?
I'm new to Books and I have no background in Accounting. I received cash (not a payment) from someone so I can top up our organization's petty cash. My questions are: 1. How do I show in Books that I received the money? 2. How do I show in Books that that money is now part of Petty Cash (I have this account in Books)? Update: This is what I did: 1. Created Other Current Asset and named it 'Cash from NAME'. 2. Then, I recorded a transfer from 'Cash from NAME' to 'Petty Cash'. Are these correct?

I have a contact X. X is a vendor. X receives expense item "salary" but when I view X details there is no payment history. Why? and please turn off the sub-forum ... this is the only site that I have ever used that insists on sub forums.

It would be an enourmous improvement if it was possible to be able to create your own standardized documents, generated on the basis of invoices, estimates, credit notes, bills etc. and being able to use placeholders. eg. you could create your own reminder

I have a contact X. X is a vendor. X receives expense item "salary" but when I view X details there is no payment history. "There are no payments recorded yet. " but there are NINE payments made already... read on... It gets worse. When I view expenses by vendor I see X has 9 payments but none of the tabs show any payments at all! I would say that is a bug at worst and a very poor UI at best. and please turn off the sub-forum ... this is the only site that I have ever used that insists on sub forums.
